Sheen Fischer Elected President Of San Diego Remodeling & Design Trade Group

San Diego, CA - Sheen Fischer, owner of Specialty Home Improvement, has been elected president of the San Diego chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for the year 2012.

NARI is a national trade group of design and remodeling contractors, companies and vendors that adhere to strict standards of honesty, integrity and responsibility in the conduct of business. As president of the organization, Fischer will uphold those standards among the chapter's 86 members. His responsibilities will also include facilitating peer-to-peer networking, putting on educational events and strengthening the chapter's community impact, among others.

Fischer was elected to the presidency by the chapter's membership and has served as vice president of the organization for the last two years. Throughout his time as a NARI San Diego member, he has been instrumental in setting the chapter's agenda, supporting trade and educational events and participating in the chapter's annual charity event.

The economic reality of 2012 will offer a challenge to the design and remodeling community as spending in the real estate sector seems likely to continue stagnating. One of Fischer's responsibilities as the president of NARI San Diego will be to assist his fellow members in learning how to survive and thrive in the current market through creativity, innovation and adhering to the standards of quality upon which the NARI association is founded.
