I was recently speaking to another website owner a couple of days ago and asked him how he was doing on Facebook. His response shocked me. Of course, the other social network that I have found very powerful is Twitter and I just keep my followers informed on what I am doing on any given day. It is short, sweet and everyone has fun with Twitter.
The other comment that my friend made was that it is so much extra work. Wrong again-my blog, my newsletter and even my article marketing is automatically integrated with both Facebook and Twitter.
When I complete this article and it is accepted, a notice will automatically be posted on both Facebook and Twitter with no further work from me. In addition, I have a plug-in on my blog that automatically post to both Twitter and Facebook and my newsletter also has the same functionality.
So, it is not a lot of extra work, most of it is automated. Certainly, I stop by Facebook and Twitter for a few minutes everyday because I don't want to miss anything. On Twitter, I follow a number of people that I respect and sometimes I will want to retweet their message and on Facebook I often find that friends have written something that I want to comment about. It is all part of a 2 way street of communication and if you want to build friends that trust you, then you should also be listening to them.
By the way, even my YouTube sites are linked to both Facebook and Twitter and whenever I make a new video, it is mentioned on both accounts.
