, we associate September with the new term and new academic year and for this reason we all go out and purchase new things ready to start off the academic year.

New stationary will be bought, a new lunch box, new shoes and most likely new clothes, but how often do you stop and pick your lingerie up at the same time? Lingerie is the one thing that you will miss when out shopping for the items you need ready to start your year.

In September stores and brands are introducing their new Autumn/Winter collection which makes it the perfect time to pick up some new lingerie, whether you want to browse the sale rail or pick up something you dont already own.

The sale is a fantastic place to pick up lingerie which is more affordable, there are many fabulous brands such as Freya, Fantasie and Elomi but due to the high quality of their lingerie it may not be something you would normally buy. During the sales you can pick up a fabulous set of their lingerie for only pennies, which is fantastic when you have a budget to stick too.

When you are going shopping for lingerie you should think about what it is that you want, do you want a bra which you can wear everyday, are you looking for a bra to wear on special occasions? It is important that you know what you are looking for before you start shopping because this means that you wont be as easily distracted because you can go straight for what you are looking for. If you walk into a lingerie store thinking I want a new bra, you could walk out with any one of the bras which are in the store only to get home and realise that its not the right style of bra you need. This happens when you havent planned in advance, even if you are only planning while you are sat in the car you need to plan.

If you go into a store knowing what you are looking for the store assistants will be able to help you. If you go to a store knowing that you want a strapless bra, then you can go in and tell the store assistant that you need help in finding a strapless bra. You will need to think a bout what you are wearing your bra under so that you know what colour to buy, if you have a white or light coloured dress then you dont want to buy a black bra because it will show up. If you want a bra which you can wear over and over again when a strapless bra is required then you should choose a nude bra, nude is the one colour you can never go wrong with. It also helps you if the back of your dress slips a little and your bra is peeking out as many people wont notice that your bra is showing.

Shopping for lingerie is something that requires taking time, you may find that you need to be refitted and so you should ensure that you have spared the time for that along with trying on different bras to find the one which gives you the best fit. You dont want to be rushing when buying a bra because you will walk in, buy the first one you see and in the size you normally wear. You will end up wearing the bra because you dont have time to buy another one and you will make it fit, even though it could be a different brand to what you normally wear meaning you might need to mix your size up a little.

You dont want to look like you are being squashed in to your bra or wearing one which is too big and so you spare the time to bra shop.
