, George Washington, in our speeches, as our characters for Halloween or to quote in times of struggle, not all of us know much about him besides his great achievements.

With the next president's day, it's best we know some things to talk about and present when celebrating that special day. His passion blossomed at the tender age of 16 when he helped Lord Fairfax check the grounds of Shenandoah and commissioned a lieutenant colonel in 1754, he fought the first skirmishes of what grew into the French and Indian War. He is a man of strength, bravery, determination and loyalty.

All of which when mixed together gives you the perfect man, ready to fight battles for his country. With a great streak of patriotism in him, he continued to fight battle after battle even when all he wanted was to retire to his homely fields in Mount Vernon. When the Electoral College unanimously voted George Washington for president, he humbly took on the role and did his duties well.

George Washington is the reason America is where it is today, he brought colonies to victory and fought hard for independence and justice as well. When he finally retired, he got to enjoy slightly less than 3 years of relaxing as he passed away on December 14, 1799 from a throat infection. The entire nation mourned his death for he was indeed a man to be missed.
