All types of food are available in Abu Dhabi. A traveler from countries like Mexico, Italy, Thailand, or the United States of America can have his choice of food in Abu Dhabi. During the month of Ramadan small eateries do not serve food between sun rise and sun set. The consumption of alcoholic beverages needs permit from the authorities. However, big hotels serve alcohol in their restaurants. The local transportation is mainly taxis. There are two types of taxis available. The expensive one known as White and Gold and the cheaper one is Silver. Abu Dhabi has beautiful beaches ideal for sun bathing. The important tourist spots are the Palace, Jahil fort a mountain in the desert, and a hot spring in the desert.
