, I notice that many companies are releasing landline products.

Some promote these by offering some members of the public the chance to preview the product before it is released, some simply by lowering their prices but should you get phone services with your broadband?

The first thing to look at is the company's reputation for providing a reliable service.

If reputation isn't incentive enough to register for the broadband deals look out for special offers such as half price on the service for 12 months.

Broadband providers tend to have around three landline packages on offer, ranging from just a basic landline with no calls through to an all inclusive deal.

The basic package is designed for customers who simply need a landline for broadband rather than calls. It will no doubt appeal those who don't need a landline such as the hardcore gaming fraternity.

The mid-range package is aimed at off peak telephone users who make the majority of their calls after work or at the weekends, it's usually aptly named, Evening & Weekends.

Finally, the all inclusive package allows customers to call anyone at anytime for free. This will generally include the UK as well some other popular destinations chosen by the broadband provider.

Any new phone deals with broadband will tend to be in line with similar products offered by similar providers.

However, as you are getting two services from one company you will often find that as a result of getting both services you end up with considerably less expensive internet overall.

All of the UK's cheapest broadband deals come bundled with a landline. The reduction in price also gives a solid incentive for consumers to move from their current land line provider which they are much less likely to have had problems with than their broadband provider.

In general, in the UK, the assumption is that a phone and broadband package should help save users to save a little bit of money compared to paying for a BT line since this is the standard method of receiving a phone service in the united kingdom.

Having phone and broadband in one bundle also give the convenience of a single monthly bill. This is true of companies such as Sky or Virgin which offer almost all their broadband deals as a bundle.

In general, look out for a broadband service that has long held a high status among its members, with a reputation for being highly reliable as well as for the company's good attitude toward its customers which will be reflected in high levels of customer satisfaction.
