Should You Practice Your Guitar Tutorials Once A Week Or Every Day - Is There Even A Choice

?

The guitar is the most symbolic of musical instruments and, not surprisingly, the one that many people choose to learn. Let's face it, it's portable, so you can play it anywhere, anytime. You can even take it to parties and entertain your friends - or give them a good laugh, depending on your skill levels. Nevertheless, for all the people who take up guitar tutorials, many more stop them again pretty quickly. The reason? Simply that they don't take time to build a regular practice regime.People who give up on the guitar come into two main categories. Firstly, those who initially think it's a good idea, but get bored very quickly. These people, in fact, were never serious deep down about mastering the guitar anyway - they simply fell in love (albeit briefly) with the whole guitar image thing. However, for the second group, there is hope. These are people who really want to learn, but get somewhat discouraged by what they see as lack of progress. However, if they just get themselves organized, they may well be able to get past this hurdle, and actually start to move forward. One of the keys to ongoing progression is simply consistency of practice. An hour or two every weekend is not going to help you, if you are neglecting your guitar for the rest of the week. Each weekend you pick up your instrument, you will find yourself spending most of your practice just revisiting old ground. By the time you put your guitar back down again, you realize you are just where you were when you stopped last time. You have seemingly hit a 'brick wall' and start to think 'I'll never get the hang of this'.However, any guitar beginner can actually put the same hours in but practice daily, and achieve real results. Even just 30 minutes a day will help tremendously. You will find that you can recall the things you practiced the day before much more readily, and you will see progression, bit by bit. Done daily, 10 minutes practicing what you did the previous day, and 20 minutes attempting new concepts, will get you much further forward than doing a 2.5 hour session over a weekend. Finally, while practicing your guitar tutorials, use a metronome, if at all possible. This will help you get used to timing. You may feel you already have natural rhythm, but if you try to play along with a metronome you may find this a bit harder than it sounds. However, if you are serious, and really want to learn to play in the precise manner which comes easily to professionals, it's worth investing in a metronome to help you build up your sense of rhythm.
