Should You Start An Internet Business During A Recession?

So many people are feeling a sense of hopelessness

, facing an uncertain future today. There are so many unanswered questions. Will your job hold out through this recession? Will you find a job? What if you can't make the payments? Will you be able to make ends meet?

If this strikes a nerve with you, maybe it's time to consider taking your future into your own hands instead of allowing others to chose your fate. Several years ago I did just that. I have always been a bit of a free thinker and entrepreneur. I get cranky when I'm told what to do, when to do it and how much I'm worth.

My very first business was selling cosmetics door to door at the ripe old age of 12. I was pretty successful, too. My mom was concerned that I was a bit too young to be knocking on doors, so she called a stop to it after a few months. I then became a babysitter, with my evenings and weekends booked weeks in advance. Then I became a teenager and decided I'd take a few years off for bad behavior. I was pretty good at that, too.

As an adult I worked long hours for others for 20+ years gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge. I missed out on so much of my daughter's childhood years. Now that I am working at home on my computer, I no longer have to put my job above my family. No one else get's to decide what I'm worth or when I work. I have to tell you, there's no better feeling than that!

There has never been a better time to become an entrepreneur and start your own business than right now. Internet business is thriving and it's not going to stop. The world is at your fingertips...literally.

Whether you are unemployed, thinking about taking your future into your own hands, are a stay at home mom, or have always dreamed of having your own business, now's the time to act. You don't need a degree or technical knowledge, just a strong desire to make it happen.

Starting an online business is the least expensive option to becoming an entrepreneur there is. You can start it with just a few dollars and a computer. This is the information age, you can learn how. There's tons of information online to show you how to do it. There are many teachers like myself to show you what you need to do to get started.

So think about what you love to do, what are your life and job experiences. Everyone has knowledge that others are happy to pay for. Everyone includes you. You can put that experience and knowledge to work for you, your family and your future. There is hope for a solid, financially stable future.
