Signs That May Reveal Hypertension
Those that live a lifestyle that is too frantic and stressful are definitely more liable to end up having high blood pressure levels
. Hardly a big surprise with our day-to-day lives becoming hectic and more stressful with increasing obligations. With bringing up children and working long hours it is no wonder that more folks are struggling with hypertension than ever before.
People who are stressed put a lot of physical and emotional pressure on themselves. With this scenario the human body's response is to draw on more adrenaline reserves to meet the needs of a hectic lifestyle. The problems arise when the body has used up its capacity and is continuely dipping into its reserves as a coping mechanism.
High blood pressure is not the easiest condition to diagnose as the symptoms are not that clear cut. However, the body begins to show that it is under stess by alerting you with a number of signals. These commonly are contispation, an increase in weight and increased levels of cholesterol.
Most people tend to ignore these signals thinking that it is temporary and that they will get over it. They continue on with their hectic lifestyle forever pushing their bodies too far. By dipping further into your reserves the body has to inncrease the levels of insulin in the blood to fuel the body and the net effect of this is raising your blood presuure. Over time the high blood pressure raises the glucose in the blood which, weakens and constricts the blood vessels.
Losing ones anger is commonly associated with having high blood pressure. People losing their cool is common place in the modern world we live and there seems never a day goes by that at least one person does not loose their anger to road rage. This and other stresses throughout the day such as work dealines or looking after naughty kids puts further stress on the body and exascerbates the high blood pressure.
The habit of constantly worrying can also bring on symptoms of high blood pressure. The constant worrier is always in state of mild to severe anxiety as they worry about matters that seem trivial to others such as deciding the right shoes to wear to the office. These people even worry about why they are not worrying!
Each one of us that get out of bed in the morning to face the day will encounter some form of problem and it is how we cope with them that is the key. Those people who handle their daily problems and challenges with stress, worry, anger or frustration will only increase their blood pressure. Their reactions to these problems can be a result of perceiving the problems as a negative effect on them and they take it personally. In order to cope in these situations they may seek comfort in eating high fat food, drinking alcohol or taking tablets to reduce the levels of stress they are experiencing. However, this creates a viscious cycle by making their high blood pressure worse.
