I tried many ways to earn some gold in World of Warcraf. It was very frustrating being level 85 and not having an epic flying mount. So I came across an idea like Silk Cloth farming and selling it in auction house. It can be quite profitable if you of course know the best spots to farm. I decided to travel around Azeroth to find out the very best spots with high density of mobs with high drop rate.

Silk Cloth drops from Humanoid mobs from level 25 to 40. These are the places I found out to be the best:

Silk Cloth farming places:

First good place is Southern Stranglethorn Vale. There are those pirates like Bloodsail Warlocks and Bloodsail Swashbucklers. Their respawn time is very low and drop rate is high, which makes this spot perfect for Silk Cloth farming

Another place you want to visit is Gnomeregan dungeon in Dun Morogh (Eastern Kingdoms). The dungeon is full of humanoid mobs. And If you are on the Alliance, you should go there, because you are near Iron Forge, which makes you easy to travel back with your full bags. And the good thing is also that there are a lot of green and blue items. So if you are an Enchanter you can disenchant them and sell the mats in auction house.

The third and, for me, the very best is Scarlet Monastery dungeons (all four of them, especially Cathedral). There are lots, I mean, LOTS of Human mobs, with very high chance of dropping Silk Cloth. And of course also here a lot of green and blue items to disenchant.

Give yourself a try and see which one you like the most. As I said, for me the very best place is Scarlet Monastery. Period! And don't forget: go Silk Cloth farming with your highest level character, so you will just fly through the area. I recommend you to be at least level 80. Time is money, so you don't want to spend too much time killing mobs. And also before you begin, don't forget to empty your bags:)

Anyway, Silk Cloth farming may be one of the means to earn gold in World of Warcraft. But after I got a copy of Gold Secrets, I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. You just need to know all the tricks.;) I warmly recommend it to you.

I'm a regular WoW player, constantly searching the ways how to make a lot of gold in small amount of time. But thanks to Gold Secrets I even reached so called gold cap (1 million gold).
