What is your thought on "be myself"? Is the meaning of the image, or whatever it is, that pops up in your head "be boring"? Or is it "be some specific way"? Can it make you happy? What I mean when I say it is be everything that you can be. What does that mean..? It means that... hold nothing back - let your face do what it would do if you did not hold back your natural expression by being in your head thinking about what might happen and worrying about all kinds of things that have not happened yet, and will probably never happen. When I say be yourself I mean be authentic.

How can you be this way..? The "let your face do what it would do.." gives a hint. Your face decides your mood (together with a few other key things that I will not go into here; including your mental voice and your breath). If your emotional spectrum currently consists of three emotions, or five, or... the number does not matter - the number of emotional nuances that you experience has to be much too big for you to count, or for you to even discern. What do I mean..? I mean that... at any given moment what you would naturally experience - if you "let expression happen" - consists of a mix of different motions... many different nuances at once, meaning that you can absolutely NOT put what you currently feel in the folders "happy", "sad" or any other folder. Maybe you do not know what I am talking about, and so would not I had you asked me a few months ago. But now I know. trust me on this.

A method you can use, to open up the emotional spectrum, is the following:


Shift your focus from your head, or wherever it is, to your face. Notice what is happening in the face, and observe what is happening there. Do not try to express everything in particular - remember that the key is that you let expression happen, as opposed to controlling your face (the face goes first, thought second). Now... Direct your face in "different directions". What I mean by this is, as soon as you feel yourself about to fall back into some old emotional pattern - which you definitely have if your spectrum is limited - go into a new direction. To do this, just do something else with your face... do something with your lips, with your eyes - in short: express yourself somewhat differently.

I understand if this was were abstract for you - and I do not think it could appear differently from just reading it, so it is vital that you try it out and get a sense of what I mean if you want to become more happy.
