Here are simple maintenance job you can do yourself to prolong the service life of your soft top.

1. Before cleaning, hose down your Jeep first to remove the dirt off the top. Make sure that all first is removed especially in the windows and zipper. You can use dirt cleaners available today that have built-in brush to make it easy to remove dirt out of the recesses of the zipper.

2. After cleaning all the dirt out, you need to lubricate the zippers. This way it will be easy to zip it in and out.

3. When it comes to the windows, you can remove it from time to time and store it away to preserve its service life.

4. Keep in mind that the windows are simply made of soft plastic making it prone to scratching. So do not use automatic car washes and brushes when cleaning the window. Be sure to hose down the dirt off the window before cleaning it with a sponge.

5. When the window is clean, you can use a window cleaner that helps remove the scratches in the window.

6. When rolling the window up, put a towel between the strap and the plastic window to prevent scratches and stripes.

Just be sure to practice regular cleaning of your Jeep soft top to ensure it stays reliable for long. Doing so will ensure you prolong its service life, which in turn will let you save a few bucks on frequent replacement.
