. Like all things electronic, a flat screen TV has its limitations and need some attention and pampering! Here is how you can get a spanking clean flat screen TV is just 5 easy steps, less than 5 minutes.

Step 1: Switch the television off, you should not keep it on unless you are really keen on getting an electric shock. Switching it off will also give you a better view of tiny specks of dust in the corners and oil stains or whatever that you flat screen TV has on it.

Step 2: Wet a microfiber cloth with a little clean drinking water. You can use white vinegar and mix it with the water before dampening the cloth with the solution. Whatever you do, do not wet the cloth too much or use an abrasive cleaner.

Step 3: Wipe the screen with the cloth. Apply gentle pressure while you move the cloth in concentric circles in the middle and vertically or horizontally at the edges. If you apply more pressure, you will burn out the pixels which will force you to buy a new flat screen TV!

Step 4: Turn the flat TV around and apply the same process all over again, this time you can apply some pressure. Remove all cables from the backside and clean everything thoroughly before fitting the cables back again.

Step 5: Let the TV sit for sometime, after which, polish the entire surface using a lint free cloth.

Things You Should Take Care Not To Do

Flat screen TVs have LCDs in them. It should be noted that LCDs are sensitive to water and moisture, so place the TV far away from windows where there might be a chance of water dripping it and destroying the television set.

Do not use ammonia, toluene or ethyl alcohol because this may affect the colouration on the screen for good and you might have to replace your television set.
