Sinful Sauces Spreads

Sinful Sauces as a brand needs no introduction as despite its youth it is fast becoming

one of the leading UK brands thanks to its originality, overall class and of course high quality.

After hitting the ground running with their "7 Deadly Sins" collection of hot sauces, husband and wife Paul and Kelly decided to further their craftsmanship by creating unbelievably good chilli chutneys and chilli spreads.

Spreads are often a bit of hit and miss and once people have got their heart set on a particular brand it is often hard to get them to try anything else. Take our love for Nutella for example. It has been at the top of our shopping list although we always thought that a bit of spice wouldn't go amiss. We first saw Sinful Sauces Chocolate & Hazelnut Chilli Spread at the 2011 West Dean Chilli Fiesta and actually had to ask Paul to open up another jar for us as the opened sample had already been cleaned out by eager chilli lovers and chocoholics and havent looked back since.

Better known brands better watch out because Sinful Sauces Chocolate & Hazelnut chilli spread surpasses them on all accounts: texture, flavour and of course spice! The consistency is great and easily swirls all around the mouth without leaving a bit great oily coating on the teeth like some other spreads. The winning combination of chocolate and hazelnuts works from the start whilst the heat slowly but surely builds up all the way down the back of the throat. We have now tried Sinful Sauces Chocolate & Hazelnut chilli spread with a hell of a lot of things and can't stop using it with marshmallows, brioche, fresh fruit and even tend to warm it up before slowly pouring it over good quality vanilla ice cream!

Another great creation from Sinful Sauces is their "nut butters". Sinful Sauces started with the most obvious and soon got avid followers with their Chilli Peanut Butter. This chilli peanut butter is kind of the best of both worlds as in terms of texture it is between a crunchy and a smooth peanut butter. The flavour has got nothing in common with its supermarket counterparts as Sinful Sauces selected the finest peanuts and hand roasted them, adding a little of their Sinful Sauces magic in the mix. Here again the silkiness of the ensemble is highly pleasurable on the tongue whilst the decent heat hits in waves of utter delight.

We wouldn't say that there is a contest going on between Sinful Sauces chilli nut butters but there is certainly a divide amongst our customers as to which one of the two is the best. We have to remain impartial though (and let's face it we just like them both equally!) and would just say that in the end it is down to personal taste.

Sinful Sauces Chilli Cashew Nut Butter is as much a masterpiece as the peanut one in the sense that the pleasure you get from it is as intense and the quality of the ingredients cannot be topped. A little bit of groundnut oil rounds up the flavour just like in Sinful Sauces Chilli Peanut Butter but make no mistakes, cashew nuts have their own distinctive taste and totally turn a popular recipe on its head and make it fresh and wonderful to taste spoonful after spoonful.

We have had Sinful Sauces Chilli Peanut Butter and Sinful Sauces Cashew Chilli Nut Butter on many things but sometimes old ways are the best so we definitely recommend spreading one of them (or both, why the hell not?) on hot buttery toast or make a chilli nut butter and jelly sandwich to go American and even use some to make satay chicken!

We cannot wait to see what Sinful Sauces have got in store in the coming months but for now we are simply enjoying (rather obsessively may we add!) Sinful Sauces' hot sauces such as Envy, Wrath or Bliss from the "7 Deadly Sins" collection and of course the holy chilli spread trinity of Chilli Chocolate & Hazelnut, Chilli Peanut Butter and Chilli Cashew Nut Butter.
