1. You Come Across a Negative or Insecure Person

You won't be winning any romantic points when you point out your shortcomings to your date. If you want others to open up their hearts to you, you must first learn to open up to others in a positive way.

2. You Dump Your Emotional Load on Your Date

It can be very emotionally tiring to listen to someone who complains about everything bad that's happening in his or her life right now. If you have to vent your frustration about backstabbing colleagues, horrible bosses or that "stupid" friend of yours, you need to book a date with a counselor.

3. You Forget Your Manners

If you have a habit of coughing with an uncovered mouth or passing sarcastic remarks about others, it's time to keep your behavior in check. Be someone that your partner would like to love, not loathe!

4. You Reveal Too Much About Your Ex

If someone you fancy suddenly tells you things like, "Me and my ex used to do this..." or "My ex did this for me...", how would you feel?
