, England, Sir Jeffrey Archer became an MP for Louth at the age of 29 and he left House of Commons in 1974 when most of his investments turned bad and he faced potential bankruptcy. This was precisely the time when Jeffrey Archer turned towards writing and went on to become hugely successful. His latest book, And Thereby Hangs a Tale, has already become a hit with the international readers and is bettering all his past records.

He Follows A Difficult Writing Routine

Sir Jeffrey Archer has had his fair share of detractors, most of who believe hes a controversial character. It is also said that Jeffrey Archer lacks the art of self introspection, and the other adjectives hurled at him include humorless, charming, funny, and what not. Its doubted whether Sir Jeffrey Archer would dispute any of these assertions. He has to his credit some brilliant novels and short stories most of which have turned out to be bestsellers. His writing routine starts at 6 am in the morning which continues for two hours. Jeffrey Archer takes a break for next two hours and then he writes for two hours more and the routine continues till the night. He believes writing is a very serious job and is definitely not easy.

The Second Most Favorite Place

Sir Jeffrey Archer just loves Sydney. This is his second most favourite place on earth. When his trial was about to finish, Sir Jeffrey Archer was secretly wishing that he would be sent off to Australia for the rest of his life. Initially he had to live in the prison with 21 murderers, though he also met other men who didnt receive any education so they didnt have a chance to succeed in their lives. Obviously, Jeffrey Archer has very bitter memory about the prison sentence, which he thought he would forget with time, though the experience remains with him every single day.

Close To Million Words In First Year

He believes every human being makes mistakes, though Sir Jeffrey went to the prison for two years for his mistakes. In the first year of his prison sentence, Jeffrey Archer wrote close to million words, which he thinks wouldnt have been possible if he was outside. Whatever he wrote in jail were diaries, so it became like a challenge for him to write a normal novel after he was released from prison.

Lot of Charity Work by Sir Jeffrey

Sir Jeffrey Archer does a lot of charity work and he wears this work proudly on his sleeves, and rightly so. He believes his life has been really interesting one so far, though he is yet to captain England and sing in a concert. Sir Jeffrey Archer feels very passionately about his writing now and he says he has no interest in politics whatsoever. He says everyone makes mistake but all should be able to learn how to move on in life. He says the assertion that drugs are the prime cause of most offences is a wrong assumption and that drinks are equally bad.
