Six Pack Abs Exercises

In my opinion, the best six pack abs exercises are not ones that directly work the abdominal muscles

. Whilst doing ab workouts like sit ups and crunches can be great for toning up your stomach muscles, they do nothing to reduce your bodyfat which is essential for getting a six pack. So in this brief article I'm going to cover the exercises and diet you need to lose stomach fat and uncover your hidden abdominals.

The first thing you need to start doing is designing a diet plan which is focused around you personally. You can't expect to get great results if you just use someone elses diet, compared to a custom made one. So that being said, lets take a look at what you need to eat.

It's critical that you get protein, carbs and fat. Carbs and fats are needed to to keep your bodies functions running and your energy levels high. But what you really need to focus on is getting enough protein. This is because it's needed to build and repair muscle tissue.

To find out how much you need a day, you should multiply every pound of your bodyweight by 1.5 and thats how much you should be eating in grams. So if you are 85kg you would consume 127.5g of protein everyday.


Once your eating the kind of nutrition which will help you lose fat and build abdominal muscle, you need to do some cardio. I personally don't think your should do normal cardio, I think that Interval training will give you much better results. For those that don't know what this is, let me provide an explanation: Interval cardiovascular training revolves around short bursts of high intensity exercise, followed by a slow and easy exercise. You can repeat this for the desired amount of times.

For example, lets say your riding a bike. You would bike along at an easy pace for 1 minute and then you would suddenly accelerate to full speed. You'd really strain yourself for at about half a minute and then you'd slow up to an easy speed.

When your doing cardio and eating fat burning nutrition, you may want to start doing some direct six pack exercises. These will help build abdominal muscle tone, whilst tightening your mid section. However, you might now need to do abs exercises at all as you may find that by just losing fat you'll get to where you want to be. But if you do want to do then then you should focus on leg raises, sit ups and the Russian Twist.

Twisting is important as a way to train your entire abs and leg raises and sit ups work your upper and lower abdominals. I recommend that you only start doing these once you have begun doing cardio and your eating the right nutrition.

Now that you know what goes into getting a six pack, you should begin to plan out exactly how your going to do it. It will take a commitment, but if you really want it - you can get it.
