Five: the biggest hurdle is understanding what a widget is and how to use it. If you are lucky enough to be using a Wordpress site from a membership site where they give it to you all set up, you will not have to worry. The widgets are what make the side bars, headers and footers. They also are where you put the things that show up on the side like a search box, blog roll archives, recent posts or a box where you could place a graphic of some sort.

Six: Once you get the mechanics down, learning what the difference is between a page and a post and strategies for how to use them will be something that takes a lot of your time.
