At this years Auto Expo Skoda Auto displayed some wonderful products most of which

are already present in the companys portfolio and some that are soon going to make an appearance. The show stopper or the eyeball grabber at the Skoda stable was undoubtedly the all new compact SUV Skoda Yeti that is expected to make its Indian debut this festive season.

The Skoda Yeti will be powered by the diesel engine. It will be equipped with the 2.0L, 1968cc, Turbo Charged diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox produces maximum power of 110PS at 4200rpm with 250Nm of maximum torque at 1500-2500rpm.The 6-speed manual transmission gearbox in the 2.0L diesel engine type with advanced Haldex clutch is capable of producing 140PS of maximum power at 4200rpm with 320Nm of maximum torque at 1750-2500rpm.

Apart from Skoad Yeti the company also has several other beauties like Skoda Superb, Skoda Laura, Skoda Fabia Sportline, Fabia Greenline and Superb Combi in its portfolio. Skoda recently launched the 1.8 TSI petrol manual transmission version of Skoda Superb, which is one of the top selling models of the company. The TSI petrol and TDI PD diesel engine variants of Skoda Superb have a lot to offer in terms of performance. Skoda Superb also comes with a permanent 4x4 drive option.

Another popular sedan in Skodas stable is the immensely popular Skoda Octavia that has been admired for its timeless design and performance. Skoda Octavia exhibits elegance and luxury. The car is very impression, spacious and reliable.Skoda Octavia is available in petrol and diesel engines. The petrol 1.8 L turbocharger engine is packed with electronic multipoint injection fuel supply system. This engine is very fuel efficient and a better performer and delivers an impressive power of 150 bhp at 5700 rpm and a maximum torque of 210 Nm at 1750- 4600 rpm. The 1.9 L turbocharged diesel engine is packed with high pressure direct injection system is very smooth and offers hassle free driving. The high powered engine produces a maximum power of 90 bhp at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 210 Nm at 1900 rpm.

The Skoda Laura is available in three trims: Skoda Laura Laurin and Klement, Skoda Laura Elegance and Skoda Laura Ambiente and has three engine types 1.8 TSI/118 kW petrol engine, 2.0 TDI CR/81 kW and 2.0 TDI CR/103 kW (A) diesel engines. Skoda Laura is a front wheel drive car and the petrol engine has a manual 6-speed fully synchronized transmission system while the diesel engines have a manual 5-speed fully synchronized automatic and a 6-speed, DSG, with tiptronic manual gear changing systems respectively. Skoda Laura comes with state of the art safety features and has very fine looks.

Apart from the two sedans and the upcoming SUV Skoda Yeti the company also has a premium hatch in its portfolio. The sleek looking Skoda Fabia termed as the first Super Hatch in India offers the comforts and roominess of a big luxury car with the benefits of a hatch. Skoda Fabia is hailed for its looks, performance and economy and comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol engine is a three-cylinder 1.2 HTP engine with a power output of 51 kW. The relaxed engine performance makes city and highway travel effortless and gives better fuel economy. The 1.2 12V HTP/51 kW petrol engine with a Max. engine performance/rev [kW (bhp) at rpm] of 51(70)/5400, Max torque/revs of 108/3000 comes with a electronic multipoint fuel injection MPI and control unit controlled electronic ignition system.

The diesel engine has a three-cylinder 1.4 turbo diesel with power output of 51 kW with high-pressure direct injection system, OHC and transverse in front. It has a Max. torque/revs of 155/16002800 and has a electronically controlled high-pressure direct injection system.
