Skoda rapid is the latest launch of Skoda. The car was launched on diwali and is already attracting people towards it. Skoda a world renowned brand has created this car on the platform of Volkswagen Vento and has a 1.6 liter diesel and petrol engines. Both of its variants are expected to deliver 104 BHP power. This car of Skoda was most awaited as it is priced much lower than earlier famous cars of Skoda i.e. Skoda Laura and Skoda Octavia.

Talking about Rapid, it is having simple, wider grille and bold lines. It has amazingly crafted surfaces which makes it look stylish and attractive. Its design makes it look better than Vento. Also Skoda is yet to update chrome black logo in the car that will further enhance its looks and design. If you are looking for a car that is a good performer, gives nice mileage and is pocket friendly then Skoda rapid might be the right option for you.

But if you are still not convinced how it will perform and whether it would prove a good car in the future then you must wait for a month or two to get valuable reviews from the customers driving it already. The Skoda rapid petrol variant is expected to deliver a mileage of 15.4 KMPL in petrol variant and 20.5 KMPL for its diesel variant.

The car is slightly less as compared features of Vento. Some of the features in Vento"s equipment list are not found in Rapid. The car is priced at 6.75 lacks which is less than the price of Vento.

Rapid is assimilated with features like power steering, power windows, anti-lock braking system with EBD, keyless entry and dual airbags. Also it has a telescopic and tilt steering wheel, height adjustable drivers" seat, rear defogger, engine immobilizer as well as front centre arm rest can be brought together for higher comfort and safety.

The car comes in both engine variants. As the increase in fuel rate is forcing people to choose diesel variants over petrol ones and the car gives an output of 104 HP at 525o RPM and offers a maximum torque of 153 Nm at 3800 RPM. The diesel variant of the car gives a maximum of 104 HP at 4400 RPM and maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1500 RPM.

The production of Skoda Octavia has already been stopped so we can expect a new car within same range, style and performance from Skoda. One of the other cars that are expected from Skoda anytime soon is Skoda Lauretta. Still there are not many stances to say whether the car would be built on the platform of Volkswagen Vento or Skoda Laura.
