Salt Lake, the magnificently beautiful city it is, is not exempt from a growing infection of dissing service members in a multitude of ways as also manifest across the country.Just as our good Mayor's predecessor had graciously heaped on a copious handout of sleaze to returning veterans, unabashedly so, folks here are determined to get it right this time.
Don't let it out service members - you're really the one to be standing firstin line. How come you're not? Did someone hand you a piece of clown-cake instead as the pastry of disenfranchised voice:past, present and future?

Barrett had probably asked his city leaders these questions before he just gave up on the many disconnections of reality before him tragically unfolding in places like SLC. Where, really, had the failure occurred? Let's not stammer on the use of this word, failure. Let's not pretend.

A tidal wave comes for those sleepy heads needing to have their neck's metaphoricallysnapped; or at least some politically correct wrist-slapping from the remaining 24% not rolling off thedumbed-down conveyor belt of education placated by the amnesty burdens on the system.

It's some manifestation of something like a deep, seeping wound from the body of this collective people who came together. Where are we at on the 'to form a more perfect union. part? One might find instead a world of Facebook retardation suggesting a planet of the apes outlook onto the world as real, though just in cyberspace? This disconnection we're seeing for soldiers came before coming together for free beats downtown.
What it is. It's certainly not chinga-fish fed to us as hope. Today, even the word soldier evokes feelings of loss on a battery of those nowlost among us.
Where are we as a people today - not just the country, SL,UT's Flintstones-like planet where being queer continuosly merits more press and attention than service to ones country? WTF chinga, over?
You would think empowering returning soldiers was a no brainer for city leaders sloganeering to the top of some ant hill soldiers are often left digging out from under at some point.
SL,UT to soldiers - the beatings and disenfranchisement of voice will continue. Let us help you straighten out your lack of urge to..., good bye Brandon Barrett. If that's not a critical melt down with each of us as stakeholders in the problems?
The point of failure occurred before the service member was dispatched from home. The soldier unknowingly returned from service for the clowncake of politics and the undeniably disconnected political landscapeof so many cities.Gobble gobble, is your city at the Thanksgiving Point of your hipster evolution? has your city left more questions unanswered than asked. Here's our short list:
Why are your soldiers often treated as throwaways?
why is service as a class more diverse than any other gender or ethnicity?
why haven't you recognized service as the best representative of the this diversity push?
Guess what folks? Only service is a diversity one elects actively or consciously. The secrets out - we just found the only true class of diversity in this county! It's time to extend the opportunity for all to serve. Hasn't it been equality and rights and protections some of us has been clamoring for under a banner of what-ever social discontents ailed us?

Cities behaved toward the State on these soldier compacts as if it was a classic federal state's rights issue contra the homogeneity of the state on behalf of its soldiers. Shame on such cities.As always, please try and try again until your leadership gets it right.

Cities like Salt Lake will have 'awarded honors of bravery' to those citizens who assist the Police in the killing of its returning soldiers - as in Salt Lake Silly. Hey Mayor - is that the kind of news you really want to put out there?
Such cities, in the absence of repairing the disenfranchisement of voice, will continually be picking up the pieces of these suicide-soldiers in a Theater of Occupation they returned to.
