Smart Parts Ion Paintball Gun, Piece of Junk?

Smart Parts Ion Paintball Gun, Piece of Junk?

The Smart Parts Ion paintball gun is a tournament style paintball gun packed jam packed with features that each paintball player wants. The Ion Marker is capable of firing up to 17 balls per second plus multiple firing modes, from semi-auto right up to full blown auto, and all without chopping any paint. My personal favorite firing mode is in 3 round burts, as I love to conserve my paint yet gain the maximum amount of firepower as I'm able to.

But exactly how does this smart parts marker hold up in comparison to other higher end paintball guns? Let's check out a few of the main features which make this marker such a solid choice.

Full Featured Shooting Options. This is when this baby shines. The Ion is effective at semi automatic firing, 3 round bursts as well as full auto. Plus this marker will not chop paint. Not bad for a paintball gun under $300.

Almost Maintenance Free. Thanks to the revolutionary Bolt-Out-Back design this paintball gun is a breeze to clean and maintain. All it requires just one allen wrench and you can remove the bolt and valve assembly in seconds. A great feature in my books, as this really means that you can keep this marker in tiptop shape.

Mid grade efficiency. Overall I score this marker well in terms of efficiency but with a few mod this can be improved. But out of the box the Smart Parts Ion performs as expected running at an operating pressure of around 175 psi.

Overall I've got to say that the Smart Parts Ion is a superb paintball gun. It truly is one of those paintball markers that will perform like those more costly "pro models". At a price tag of under $300 bucks this marker is hard to beat.

If you are looking for a decent tournament style paintball marker and are also on a tight budget then you cannot beat the value you will enjoy with the Smart Parts Ion.
