Windows that are open and have screens attached are good. Cross ventilation is a very good design, so you may want to have vents on the wall opposite an open window.

4. Lighting for the Coop

Having the proper lighting in your chicken coop is something you need to look into for your design. It is a good idea to have your coop facing at right angles to the sun. If that may be an issue then you need to make sure that there is enough artificial lighting. Lighting is important to have your hens lay eggs year round.
