Motorola I announced financial results for Q2 2010

, reporting total sales of $5,400,000,000, or slightly below, which occurs in the same period last year. Earnings came to $162,000,000, or $0.07 per share, compared to GAAP earnings of $26,000,000 or $0.01 per share in Q2 2009.

Non-GAAP earnings per share were $0.09 compared to earnings of $0.03 per share in the second quarter of 2009. Analysts expected the company have received 8 cents per share on revenue $5,190,000,000.

Zoom unit of Mobile Devices, Motorola reported sales of $1700000000, a decline of 6 percent compared to the quarter a year ago.

Company shipped a total of 8.3 million phones last quarter, 2.7 million, as smartphones, which it line-up is composed of 12 such devices, including Droid and Droid X .

GAAP operating profit for the Mobile Devices business were $87 million, which included significant revenue from $228,000,000 a legal agreement( probably from the manufacturer Blackberry Research In Motion ), compared to operating losses of $287,000,000 for the same period a year earlier.
