Snow Boots Bring Disputes

Despite the fact that Christmas has gone, the cold war between two lovers still lasts. Joey had a quarrel with Carol one day before Christmas on account of a pair of snow boots. Neither of them is willing to take the initiative to make peace with each other, so indifferent atmosphere as well as embarrassment has lasted for over a week. How should a pair of snow boots cause such a cold war between the young couple?

It turns out that Joey ate his words that he would come back from work a bit earlier in order to celebrate the birthday for his girlfriend Carol several days before Christmas. Then, Carol spent a whole day preparing dinner on that day and she was expecting the surprise from Joey. However, Joey did not came back home until midnight and he totally forgot the birthday thing. Carol was pretty upset and she complained that he did not care about her enough, and Joey said that he had to finish an urgent task for her supervisor for which he forgot buying presents for her birthday. Of course, although Carol forgave her boyfriend after being told the reasons, she was still unhappy about him. Therefore, Joey wanted to make up for Carol. He asked one of his colleagues to purchase a pair of the most popular snow boots for Carol and planned to use them as the present for Christmas. However, a dispute was generated just because of that pair of boots.

In the beginning, Carol loved that pair of snow boots very much and she decided to forgive Joey for the birthday thing. However, two days later, she felt her feet hurt and it seemed that the boots did not fit her very much. Besides, the boots were not as warm as advertised. Moreover, as she wore that boots all day long so that sometimes she even felt her back a little hurt. In order to know the exact reason, she consulted her colleagues and found out that her boots were not genuine by accident. Since they were not made of genuine sheepskin, they would not help to protect the feet against coldness. In addition, her colleague reminded her of a lot of potential hazards caused by wearing the fake and poor quality snow boots, such as hurting feet as well as back.

She completely flied into rage immediately after she heard that bad news. After returning home, she asked Joey why he did buy a pair of fake snow boots for her. Joey was entirely confused by Carols reproach. He said he did know nothing about the boots as he asked his friend to buy them. Guys knew little about the snow boots, plus that the fake snow boots were so similar to the genuine ones in appearance. No wonder Joey was confronted with a trouble again.
