This festival is so large you'll find many additional things to do besides running with the bulls. fiestas, meeting friends, dining and dancing are all at their best during this festival.

Some of the top resorts for winter sports lie in Spain. If you like skiing, just go to the mountains. Excellent ski resorts are found in Catabuny, Aragon, Malaga, and Torremolinos. You can enjoy skiing from winter to spring. Hiking and rock climbing are popular activities in many areas of Spain. Some include beginner instruction and you can go with a tour group if you don't want to rough it alone. Several sites are perfect for it. You'll find both beginners and long-timer on these trips.

Festivals held surrounding the Holy Week can be found throughout the country, and they are not only for the Spanish. Catholics from all around the world come to Spain to enjoy the processions, plays and activities that mark the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Of course you don't have to be Catholic to enjoy these. The word "holiday" originates from "holy day," and in Europe holy days were rest days as well as times for having fun. Spain is a great place for a "holy day.
