Before you design your next training programs, make sure you set some specific goals for your team. Determine in advance what you wish to achieve form this program and do whatever it takes to accomplish that.

Add to your training program such soccer drills that are new, innovative, and fun to perform so as to add variety. It will break the monotony of doing the same drills day in and day out. Youll notice a positive change in your kids performance once they begin to enjoy their training sessions.

Make your players learn to respect you and listen to you, irrespective of their age or the level at which they play. Respecting each other feelings promotes a friendly atmosphere for both the kids as well as the coach.


A high level of flexibility greatly benefits every soccer player. Its been categorized into 3 parts.

Dynamic flexibility: Just like twisting from one side to another, its the players ability to carry out brisk movements within the full range of motion in the joint.

Static active flexibility: It is the ability to stretch a difficult muscle using only the tension within that very muscle. For example; hold one leg as high as possible in front of you. The hamstrings are stretched while the quadriceps and hip flexors hold your leg up.

Static passive: This kind of flexibility allows a player to make use of his body weight or some external force to hold a stretch. For example; picture yourself holding your leg out in front of you and relaxing it on a chair.

Now let's go to the next in line of soccer training tips. It requires you to check that kids are wearing an appropriate gear, depending on the weather conditions.

Training for soccer needs to be supported with a fitness program that will help the areas where your team needs most help. Keep the following factors in mind whenever you are designing this kind of a training program.

Injury: Injuries also hinder the range of motion in a joint.


Pain: There is a decrease in flexibility as pain increases that result in muscle spasms. On the other hand, strength training does not affect flexibility if you are doing the exercises correctly and in full range of motion.

Genetics: A player's genetics also decide the amount of flexibility that his or her body has.
