What exactly is social networking? A social network is a social structure made of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes," which are connected by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige. The network can also be used to measure social capital -- the value that an individual gets from the social network. Today, it's rare to find someone who hasn't at least heard of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or one of a hundred other social networks. Online networking is popular with and beneficial for professionals regardless of field. Professionals tend to stick with more established sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook for the purposes of social networking.

There are times when it can feel like you're signing your life away just to get a profile on a Web site. You may not even know why you would want to use such a site in the first place, apart from the fact that everyone else seems to be on it. But by the time has changed every thing we can find well written and understand as easy as a cup of tea. Once you are on board , you can feel the taste of social networking.

Most social network services are web based and provide means for users to interact over the internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. In general, social networking services allow users to create a profile for themselves, and can be broken down into two broad categories: internal social networking; and external social networking sites such as MySpace, Face book, Twitter and Bebo. Both types can increase the feeling of community among people. There are few simple rules if you can follow, you will get the core result of social networking:

1- Become Friendly or contributor

2- A little essence of professionalism should be there.

3-Pay attention to what you are writing

4-be selective of putting any link, data, photographs or video.

There are many types of social networking one can use and many still need to discover. It is the era of new technology , every day we find a new site or technology to become more closer to each other. Social networking is just like a science, once you understand it you will indulge in it. You can get more friends or you can earn money from it. That's what you have to decide.
