Social Media Is It A Curse Or Boon For The Mankind

In the age of internet and laptops, there is one more thing which is affecting the

personality and perception of 90% of the urban population all around the world is -social media Vancouver. The social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter have become an indissoluble part of almost all the young and old souls. Now the question arises does these social networking sites have positive or negative impacts on the human minds and hearts. Well we can easily find some people debating in favor of these social forums and some arguing against it. In fact both the bracket of debaters is correct to some extent.

Social media has no doubt made a remarkable presence in every ones life and has opened barriers and boundaries created because of factors like nation, religion, cast, economical strata, culture and language. It has in real sense liberated the souls and given them a chance to freely express their views and ideas on the online medium without any fear and hesitations. Today when everyone is busy, solving their own problems and leading a robotic life chasing their dreams and ambition, these social sites have done a commendable job by making people connect and share some part of their hectic life with their family members and friends. These social sites not only help people to relax, rejuvenate and refresh their otherwise boring lifestyle but can also be seen as an effective learning forum and advertising tool supportive in more than one way. The social media is definitely an online revolution which has changed the life of millions of users. Right from the college student to the old retired serviceman everyone is there on the social sites and is enjoying the advanced forum of sharing things with their near and dear ones and liking the new concept of global connectivity.

But are these forums really pulling people to connect and come closer to increase their social circle or is silently pushing them away from each other and making them lonely? Just think if these social sites are so effective in invigorating human soul and mind then why the number of patients diagnosed with the problem of depression and anxiety increasing day by day. We cannot deny to the fact that these sites are leading the generation to potential harms like cyber bullying, social anxiety, sever isolation and acute depression. Studies say that the Facebook status updates, huge friend lists and photo of happy and contented friends are some of the common factors leading to depression. The social media claims that they help people to connect but ironically they are preventing them to actually connect with each other. We feel lonely because now we dont have time to socialize, meet people, share the grieves and happiness and celebrate our special moments with them. We judge our popularity by the number of followers, blog traffics and friend lists instant of emotional virtues.

Both the arguments are convincing and are worthy enough to be considered and given a thought. The bottom line of the debate is whether we like it or not the social media Vancouver has become an integral part of our social and personal life which makes us enjoy and cherish our personal space but we must not let the technology overshadow our emotional and human side which require individual to go out and explore the life.
