Social Media Sites Dont Protect Your Privacy - CrazyGood Does!
I've been social networking now for a few years and although I wouldn't consider myself "hard core," I check FB daily and occasionally share pics and/or videos and, on a regular basis, add incredibly witty comments to the crazy things that my friends post. Some are true classics! In recent days however, I've become more and more concerned about what I read about social networking sites selling the information that they compile about me as I use their site.
Days ago, I was alerted to this website Spokeo - http://www.spokeo.com - and discovered that it had all my personal information and that it was open to the public. Many people, including myself, erased all related data collected from their data base as soon as they made the discovery. You should too if you want your personal life and other very private information like your income, address, or your family to remain private.
Spokeo is a "social network aggregator" that collects information from nearly EVERY social site on the Internet, using nothing but your email address. Once you sign in with your email account, it goes through and searches for information on EVERYONE you've ever contacted, even if only in one email. Then, Spokeo goes to different websites like Myspace, Hi5, Friendster, Xanga, and others, and provides the information on every one of your contacts in an easy-to-read list. It even provides a Facebook-style news feed to stalk your "friends" with - listing every single Digg, Stumble, or message you send... AS YOU SEND THEM. And the worst part? There's no way to opt out. There's no option to keep people from searching for your accounts or to block your email address from the system. This service is an outrage! Go to Spokeo.com yourself and see what results they've pulled on YOU. If you're as angry as I am, then follow these steps listed below. You can opt to block out your information by going here: http://www.spokeo.com/privacy
To remove Phone/Name/Email Listings:

Go to www.spokeo.com/privacy
Paste the URL
Provide your email address (this acts as a verification process for the confirmation to be sent to your Inbox)
Type in the Captcha Code (type the code exactly as you see it
Check your Inbox for the confirmation email, and click on the link on the bottom to complete removal process.
Evidently, the 500,000,000 of us sharing our likes/dislikes, talking about where we go and what we do-is really big business-and by that I mean-big MONEY business. SNS sell our personal information as well as our content to third parties-who are clamoring to find potential sales. I mean I know they have to make money, but at what price to us-the users. And it seems so easy for private information shared on these sites to become available to everyone. I mean, you read terrible stories about things that happen as a result of private information made public from these sites. A friend mentioned to me that she was using crazygood.com-a subscription-based social networking site that doesn't sell users' info or even allow ads. I still FB often but use it more as a search for friends now because it's so massive. But if I want to SHARE info, photos, etc., I only use Crazygood. It just makes me feel more protected, and I'm back in control of my own information. If you're concerned about your cyber safety and want to be SURE your private information remains just that-PRIVATE, then check out Crazygood by clicking on the link below.
Facebook has a lot of good features already that appeal to marketers. The market reach is so widespread that it seems a foolproof system for building a niche. On the other hand, many marketers are also feeling that it's starting to be a bit too crowded. And with all the ads around your page, it's starting to loose appeal to people who just want to socialize after work.
LOTS of people are still looking for a "social networking home" and, honestly, this could be it. Crazygood.com has the potential to be what so many other companies have tried to be--- exclusive.private, friendly and casual.
Some highlights for you!
Just $10/mo Folks, if someone is not willing to pay $10/mo to improve their future, they are notserious about their future. We all have this, regardless of how many other investments we may have.
$1 per referral anywhere through 5 levels This can really add up: Imagine turning a $10/mo investment into $1,000/mo in income, or more! It can indeed, get "Crazy Good, Crazy Fast." The reality here : YOU NEED TO REFER OTHERS : Refer 10 people right away, and eliminate your Overhead. Have THEM Refer 10, and YOU will be earning $100 per Month; When THOSE 100 refer 10, you'd be making $1,000/mo see how this starts to grow?
And Crazygood.com is still in BETA, which means it'll only go UP from here. They have Groups that will allow you to add and communicate with others interested in whatever you are promoting, so there's a new potential channel to market in the long run only to people who are really interested.
Sure it's a paid site but it's just $10 to secure and maintain your privacy. And it's security and privacy you can demand from them because your payment backs you up. The other free sites don't care as much because, well, as they're all so fond of saying--" that's what you get for free!"
