Social Networks: Influence On Our Life

Recently social networks become more and more popular

. And with their growth they start to influence all spheres of peoples lives. The results of different researches say that a half of the internet is already covered by social networks.

The term social networks appeared long before the internet and online networks. In 1954 it was introduced by an American sociologist James Barns. Since then social networks have turned into a fashionable conception that became central in web 2.0 design.

Nowadays social network have developed greatly and there is a great number of networks created for different purposes, the main of which are to find friends, to get acquainted, to find job or employee or to develop your business. The competition between social networks is really great today and only really quality and interesting projects can attract users today. This makes websites to use innovations such as new types of chats, video platform, media content, etc.

Social networks have a number of advantages as well as disadvantages. Here we will talk abut the most important:

1.Address in the profile. On one hand, it is very convenient if you forgot the address of your friend or his phone number, you can just visit his page in social network. But on the other hand it is a risk to fill in such information as your home address in public profile. Making the address visible only to the friends can solve this problem, but then you should be sure in all your friends. Besides, many social networks never delete your information completely, so choose wisely what information to give.

2.Escape from reality. Social networks allow to make a process of communication easier and much more convenient. But if this becomes a habit and a person stop to communicate with people in real life it can turn into a problem. But there is one more important advantage: in social networks people can communicate with friends from all over the world and distances and borders can not prevent them from having a talk. More than that, today new technologies, such as video chat, allow people to talk and see each other in real time.

3.Content. Today in social networks all users have possibility to view numerous media content: video, audio, etc. On one hand it is very convenient that you can view any video or listen to popular songs online. But at the same time it is often hard to find anything in networks due to a great quantity of the content.

4.People. The more is the social network, the higher is the chance that you will find somebody you need. But a quantity of spam in social networks is also really great. Today this problem is being solved changing a usual way of communication by messages into live chat, were only real people can take part.

But on the whole social networks are a great invention that can be combined with the creation of the internet. They made our life much easier and gave a unique possibility to communicate with a great number of people from different countries without even leaving home.
