Soilent Green: A Great Title In The Music History Of Metal. Head Bangers Special Edition!

. But have you ever came across a genre that is called grindcore metal? Well, this may not be a new term for metal heads. But for new people, this is a special genre where the music is influenced by hardcore punk along with heavy metal instrumentation. The heavy guitar distortion and powerful punch of the drums and bass guitar is the soul of this genre of metal.

Some people even term this genre as industrial metal as the theme is based on the common industrial influences and its society. Howling vocals mainly dominate the music. Soilent green is one of the famous sludge bands from Metairie, Louisiana (New Orleans). The bands name is influenced by Harry Harrison's American science fiction, Soylent Green. The band also reminds of the famous Napalm Death a British grindcore metal band.

The band Soilent Green was formed in 1988 with their debut album Pussysoul marketed by famous Dwell Records. But the subsequent albums were solely under the mark of Relapse Records. Metal Blade Records booked them for 2008 albums. To make the promotion of the new albums, Soilent Green has joined Dethklok, God Forbid and Chimaira. At present Ben Falgoust is taking the lead in the microphone. He replaced the foremost vocalist Glenn Rambo who was killed in the Hurricane Katrina (2005). The band had a serious breakup in their journey. Former bassist Scott Williams was accidentally murdered on 26 April, 2004, by his roommate.

Soilent Green has been proving their presence with their great hits in the metal scenario.

Rolling Stone listed them amongst the best 25 influential metal bands of the world. They also featured for the first episode of season 4 Squidbillies (2009), (in the Adult Swim show episode 41), with the title called "Lerm". In this show they highlighted the journey with their marvelous metallic style and shook the world in an influential manner.

Their new album "Confrontation" has shown some of their best potential in this area. The tile "Scarlet Sunrise" as the beginner has a great instrumentation piece that will simply blow your fuse away. "Leaves of Green" defines their contemporary and original style of the old days of Solient Green. "A Stream Trapped Underwater" is another title that will heat up your blood. Its better you grab all their albums and start to band your head with the extra force. The world of metal is dominated by Soilent Green now.
