If you are working as an IT Guy, then you must be aware of the fact that you are hired because you have more computer knowledge and skills which you can utilize to solve different problems. This job requires dealing with different kind of people in an organization who come to you for help. So, you have to be readily available for your help in a more polite and friendly manner. Diagnose the Problem

The first thing is certainly to diagnose the problem. This you can done by asking them different questions in a more polite tone such as what they were doing when it happened, any strange noises or warning appear and so on. Move step by step until you figure out what exactly the problem is.

Once you have found the fault, now is the time to fix it. Being an IT expert you should better aware of where to begin. Here you have to be little careful, as you need not to rush through the fixing process. Be slow in pace and give step-by-step demonstration to your client or coworker so that he/she learns the way to solve the problem on his or her own in future. Interestingly, you will find them readily involved in this learning process. Also explain them the nature of the fault and the reasons behind it so that they will be careful in the future to avoid this problem.

After fixing the problem, as them whether they understand it or not. Remember, you will have to expect some most simple questions from those non-computer techies, which might seem silly to you. Don't sweat it. Reply to their questions and queries calmly and skillfully so that they understand each and everything clearly. Building a good relationship with your clients and coworkers will definitely help you in the long run. Companies always in need of good, dedicated employees and if you are able to develop a good repute with your fellowmen and clients then this will be a huge dividend for you. Another reason behind having a good relationship with your colleagues is that IT professionals are nowadays dime a dozen and if you will not provide quality service and care to the office, you might have faced the music in terms of job loss.
