Buy a good mower that allows you to alter the height of the blades because there are different times where you need to just give it a light cut. This is normally with the first cut of the year, if you live in an area where you do not mow during the winter, and also in the middle of summer because if you cut it too low you shall scorch it.

Look at how thick the grass is because if it appears to be too thin in one area then you need to consider adding more seed to thicken it up. This does help to protect the entire lawn and does mean that there is less chance of completely bare patches appearing over time.

If you have moss then buy a moss remover machine and use it at the start of the year. This is going to help the rest of the grass breathe and it does make everything that bit healthier but do not overdo it in case it starts to rip out healthy blades of grass leaving you patches sporadically across the area.

Think of it as any kind of plant so in warm weather remember to water it as this is going to help to keep it nice and green. Do just remember to water it later in the day or when it is in shade because as with other plants you can burn the tips of the blades if sunlight is focused on wet grass for any period of time.

So when it comes to lawn care the main things are to watch how you mow it and have the relevant feeds for the different times of the year. By keeping on top of things it should not take you too long to mow and feed and the best thing is having the perfect grass as a result of your hard work.
