Some Blogging Dos And Don'ts

Some Blogging Dos And Don'ts

Some Blogging Dos And Don'ts

You should blog if the matter arouses even the slightest bit of interest in you. Let's learn some facts on how to have a blog.

Blogging is a great activity, because it imbues you with a sense of fulfillment and provides scope for income while allowing you the luxury of flexible working hours.

You can learn how to blog the easy way. It does not require much of a technical grasp, nor does it necessitate having to delve into a deep pocket.

Personally (I am not sure how much this applies for other bloggers) I find the constant process of activities like preparing and posting content, fretting about and working on my theme graphics, layout and design and planning and executing my SEO and traffic pulling strategies very therapeutic indeed. Possibly, this is a phenomenon that is unique to bloggers like me who enjoy writing and fiddling around with graphics. Or possibly it is a state of affairs prevalent with most, if not all bloggers.

But... like with everything, in blogging too there are some things that can be done and some things that cannot. You have to learn how to blog the correct way.

You want your blog to stay on the good books of search engines and rank well. You want lots of visitors. You want your blog to become popular, to benefit most, if not all of your visitors with the value you are providing. You probably also want your visitors to provide you with value in exchange for your value: enough of an income to keep you free from financial tension... pay off your mortgage, take off on a holiday every now and then.

And you want to do all this without doing anything that will get you noticed and penalized by the powers that decide what is right and what is not on the internet.

You need to make sure you have the right approach and the right content, all the while staying within clearly defined ethical and legal boundaries. For the major part, this means being aware of the Federal Trade Commission's regulations and adhering to them.

You need to make sure you are posting with the right frequency and are concentrating your traffic-getting efforts at the right market segments. A lost of bloggers target their efforts at areas that are not receptive, productive or profitable. I have been guilty of this crime and have had sense drummed into me by some hard knocks.

But you don't have to learn how to blog the hard way, the trial and error way. You can benefit from the lessons others have learned and are willing to impart to people wanting answers on how to have a blog.
