Some Facts About The Wild Cats

Wild cats include the tigers, lions, cheetahs

, leopards and other smaller cats. All these animals belong to one group classification of carnivorous. They will attack and kill at the slightest provocation. Tigers are the largest of the four cats. The second ones are the lions followed by the leopards and then cheetahs. They are the fiercest of all the wild animals and keep all the others in deep fear. They are also capable of attacking humans when they feel threatened.

Wild cats prefer different habitats. The tigers are likely to be found in the Eastern and Southern Asia. They love habitats that include water and sufficient forest cover. The males are usually heavier in weight than the females. Lions are the kings of the jungle and are mostly found in Africa. The males have manes while the females don't. They hunt as a group but the males wait for the females to catch a prey and then continue to partake in the meal.

Wild cats like the leopards are not very easy to be spotted during the day. They hunt in the evening or the early hours of the day. Their eyes flash like car lights at night and during this time they are believed to see very well. They are very powerful and drug their preys on up to the tree top. They climb trees by their back as they closely watch any predator that is approaching. The cheetahs have similar characteristics with the leopards but they can be easily tamed. However they don't spend time on the trees like the leopards.
