For many, the best way to learn a new language is to hear and repeat what is heard. If you know you learn best in this manner, there are numerous CDs and DVDs that are made to supplement this learning style. Normally you will hear a phrase or word said in English, then in Chinese and then you will be given time to say it out loud. However, only popular words and phrases are taught with languages courses.
