There are only a few options of book binding tape available for you. They are available in limited colors. In addition, it will be hard for you to find the color which can complement to the color of your book or album. As a great alternative, you can create your won binding book tape. You only need a few supplies, such as fabric, fabric pencil, double-sided tape, scissors, and ruler.

The first thing you have to do is to measure a piece of fabric and cut it based on your measurement, three inches wide and one inch long. For better result, you can use thin cotton fabrics. Then, divide that fabric into thirds longwise with one inch wide for each. Mark it using your pencil.

The next thing you have to do is to tape along the first third of the fabric strip using double-sided tape. Then, fold that fabric over the top of the tape and stick it together. Snow, you have the one-inch division half an inch so that you have a clean edge. For the other fabric edge, you can repeat this step.

Then, you need to place the double-sided tape strip on the top of that folded fabric of the first and third divided sections. Hereafter, you need to center the spine on your book binding tape with your tape hanging over the bottom and the top of the book. Then, push the tape edges to the front and back cover. Press it into place firmly. It will hold the stack of your paper sheets. Trimming the fabric ends will be the right finishing touch for you. You can add the trim to the cover to make it more attractive.
