Tarps come in all sizes and materials. But they are generally pretty inexpensive. So, you may be able to cover several areas of your roof at a time, without breaking the bank.

And it will stand the weather. These large tarps are made strong. They are plastic, but meshed with reinforced plastic. Some have holes with metal around them in several areas and on the corners, so you will be able to use thick, strong rope for your project, as well. And the best part is that the waterproof ones will protect your personal belongings inside the house.

It isn't a permanent fix, but it is a way to prolong the inevitable. While you are putting cash away to put a new roof on your home, this is the perfect temporary solution. These large tarps will last for months at a time, and in some climates it will last years. Money is not easy to come by, so if you need a long time to save for your roof, this may be an inexpensive solution for you.
