Exciting Northrend Dailies

King of the Mountain (PvP)

For a really easy, and quite fun, daily quest in Northrendfor both Alliance and Hordefind Blast Thunderbomb (Horde) or Frazzle Geargrinder (Alliance) up on Icecrown. You will receive control of a Jumpbot, a little robot that allows you to leap up to the top of the ice and skull covered mountaintop.

Just hit the jump jets to leap high into the air, and as long as you target a region of the ground you can fire them again even before landing. Use this to leapfrog up the side of the mountain. (Watching out for enemy players.) The task is simple: Locate the very top, and plant your faction's flag on a pile of bones and skulls there. And viola: you're done.

This quest is only available after unlocking Orgrim's Hammer (Horde) or Skybreaker (Alliance) so you'll need to get that opened up first.

Crush Captain Brightwater! (PvP, Horde)

This daily quest takes place in the Grizzy Hills and it's stacked amidst a bunch of other World PvP daily quests (so you'll probably want to grab those also.) Venture Bay is a World PvP zone that the Alliance and Horde are fighting over, so it leaves you with a lot of different things you can do for them.

You'll find Captain Brightwater aboard the eastern-most ship in Venture Bay. He's right there on the deck, so you should be able to pull him solo. If you happen to be piloting a goblin shredder at the time just punch the self-destruct and that'll blow him to kingdom come in one fell swoop. (You can get a Shredder for the quest "Shred the Alliance.")

Defending Wyrmrest Temple

This quest doesn't open up until after a huge, long quest chain in the Dragonblightstarting with "A Strange Device." Even that quest in of itself doesn't start until after some grinding through Dragonblight quests. This is a daily quest for the Wyrmrest Accord so a great deal of players might want to pick this one up and run it just for the rep. It's available to both Horde and Alliance.

Basically, you're given a dragon to help repel a giant wave of attackersalso dragonsand your dragon puts a nice set of weaponry at your command from fireballs to a self-heal.

For the first objectivekill 3 Azure Dragons and 3 Azure Drakesjust find them flying around the area and cut them down with your fire breath. Drakes are easier to kill than dragons, but fortunately the fire breath is a DoT, so after dotting them up, you can watch them fall from the sky in flaming wreckage.

The second the objective, "Destabilize the Azure Dragonshrine," involves flying into the nearby pit of bones with the blue-glowing stream of light spilling out from between the dragon corpses. Just fly into the base of indigo incandescence, hit the "Destabalize" button and that's that.

Soloing this quest in under three minutes earns you the achievement "Rapid Defense."
