Sonia ji and Manmohan Singh ji will stand up for the last poor person in this country: Rahul Gandhi

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said, " Our party has kept it's promise of working for the weak, for Dalits and Tribal people of this country." Addressing a public rally in Khammam he said " the largest part of the promise was to implement the employment guarantee scheme through which every poor Indian was provided hundred days of work. For the poor farmers our government waived Rs. 60,000 crores. The UPA carried out mid-day meal scheme for the children and for the future of this country."

Congress General Secretary said " there are fundamental differences between the Congress party and the opposition. Congress fundamentally believes in the poor people of India and the only difference between the poor and the rich is that the latter has got opportunities. Our party has tried everything possible to provide opportunities to the poor. Till there is a single poor person in the country, Soniaji, Manmohan Singhji and UPA will stand by his side."

Praising the Andhra Pradesh government, Mr. Gandhi said " the state government has done tremendous work. It has got an award for the best implementing of NREGS." Congress General Secretary praised the schemes of Andhra Pradesh government in irrigation, microfinance and insurance sectors. He further said " it is important for the poor and tribal people of Andhra Pradesh to vote for Congress party in Andhra Pradesh and UPA at the centre, so that Andhra Pradesh and India could have a bright future."

Congress General Secretary said that if India is going to move forward, then every single person of India has to move forward but the opposition believes that India can move forward leaving the larger section behind. He said " our party believes that the weakest person of the country should get help from the government."
