I would first Blu-ray player for $ 150, but not some cheap crap actor who does not know from the company. I looked around and found this player. It was about my money, and Sony. I have no TV, connect it to your computer with Dazzle. The image is clean and sound my computer is in order. If your budget does not recommend this player. If you have a lot of money and then get a better player.

Good picture;hard to set up
Once I finally got it set up, it seems to work fine. I see no reason for it to be so difficult to get it working.
Happy with the purchase
My husband and I purchased this at our BX to replace our piece of junk samsung blu-ray player. So far, this has been a huge improvement compared to the samsung. The picture quality is great for blu-rays, and good for dvds. We have had the player tell us a small handful of times that the disc cannot be read; but that could be for a number of reasons. One kids are constantly beating on this player; pulling and pushing on the tray, destroying the discs that are put into it, and hitting it. Needless to say, our minor and infrequent issues could be from our kids or from the player. Either way, anytime we do have an issue, we just take out the disc, wipe it off, put it back in, and it works fine.

No Disc Error - Common Problem - Buyer Beware!
I will preface that I bought this at Best Buy on Black Friday online. I bought this as a secondary blu-ray player in my bedroom - my PS3 does the duties on the big TV.
I had the player from Dec 1st to June 1st - unfortunately on May 31st the player froze during the playing of True Blood Season 2. I turned it off and repowered it on, and then i got the dreaded "no disc" error. The player would not read any disc - blu-ray, dvd, cd, even an update CD I attempted to install on it.
I was highly disappointed as this is a fairly common problem with this and other sony players. Thankfully it was fully covered by warranty and Best Buy accepted my broken unit for an assignment of the warranty claim - and I was able to purchase a new samsung player.
It worked great when it was working - unfortunately this fatal error has made me wary of recommending it or even from purchasing another sony blu-ray player. Good luck.
