I am very disappointed with this unit. It takes too long to load up and you can not go back to where you stop. Close caption is also a problem.
No Streaming option
What a waste of money and time. This player does not stream any online video from popular commerical services like Amazon Video-On-Demand, Netflix extra. Why Sony have wireless if that is of no use other then BD live. Remote is awful and Why Amazon is showing Xross Media Bar when this product does not have this option.

Great Picture, Can't Go Wrong With Sony
I got this product back in Nov 2009. I currently have 2 Sony Blu Ray players (2 different models) and haven't had any problems with either.
The picture and sound quality is amazing. I believe it decodes Dolby Digital surround sound. I haven't tried the wireless connection so I can't comment on that.
The load time is reasonable. The disc read time (from inserting the disc to start playing) was about 15 seconds. The player itself is very stylish and looks great with the hdtv and home theater equipment. All I want to do is watch blu rays! DVD movies seem like mediocre picture quality to me nowadays. Also, this player is not netflix capable. Wish it was...
The only issue I have been having is that once in a while the sound from the home theater stutters and turns off for a few minutes then comes back on again. If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know! All the cable connections are correctly inserted and secure. Im not sure if the problem is the blu ray player, hdtv, or sound system. All three are Sony.
