I this player for Christmas, and it was a failure at the end of May, only five months later! He is now able to load the discs most of the time, so it's impossible to play something, DVDs and CDs. The player explores each slot for a disk before moving to the next, and finally, the statement "no record". Sometimes it is not loaded, and when done, will play the discs without problems. But now I have more Than half the time a movie Typical seeking to load and play, more than half an hour to recognize the disc starts to bring! However, during operation, this unit was a very good video and audio quality. The 1080p upscaling looked very good to excellent in most films that I have. Audio was clear and impressive digital output connected to a surround sound system. (My digital video via HDMI directly into the back of a 1080p HDTV, my connection to digital audio through a coaxial cable with gold in a surround receiver.)
The player has worked with all forms of media that I tried: commercial DVDs and CDs, CD-R and CD-RW and DVD-R and DVD + RW. E 'is blocked by Region Region 1 and NTSC video formats. (You can use the PAL format, like most Sony DVD players I had with a software patch, not the player). exchanger function was the main reason you chose this model and why I still have no interest in Blu-ray. I prefer to be different types of programming, without having to manually enter the records and extraction at any time. The mechanism of change appears to be slower and a little 'noisier than previous Sony models I've had, but it worked without problems.
This will probably be my last Sony disc player of any kind, based on my experience with this model. I have 5 Sony CD player (the first since the 80s, still works as many others) had 5 Sony DVD player (again, most are still well at work, including the oldest), as well as many other Sony objects. But also have a good DVD player to die, just outside the warranty seems ridiculous. From my experience, it is clear that the quality of this model is not dependent on rules of Sony in the past.

DVD players
Have had multi disc players for fifteen years and have had no more problems then single disc players . I had a pioneer and it just wore out from long use. and my last sony unit may be repairable they are used 15 to 20 hrs every week. the price was very reasonable .
