Sony LTO 4 Improved with 800-1600 GB data storage capacity and upgraded data transfer speed with 120-240 MB/Sec, and also enhanced with base film quality, memory chip from 4KB to 8KB, data tracks 890 and tape length is also improved with 820 M. But most notable improvements in Sony LTO 4 tape is data protection just like last LTO 3 tape Sony included new data protection function like WORM and introducing with hardware based 256-bit data encryption which give more reliability and protection to storage data.

Sony LTX1500G is 5th and most advanced storage tape format by Sony LTO standards, Sony LTO-5 tapes, is next generation LTO tape format with massive data storage ability and improved with overall capability. Sony LTO 5 Ultrium upgraded massive 1.5-3.0 Terabytes data storage capacity with reliable fast and secure data transfer speed of 140-280 MB/Sec.
