Sony Xperia S Surprise Of The Pack!

First, the Sony Xperia S was the first smartphone handset that came out in January

, 2012 without the support of the famous Ericsson brand attached to it. Sony Mobile could be, for all we know, only testing the waters of the fiercely competitive smartphone marketplace in the UK and the other markets spread all across the globe.

Earlier, Sony had bought majority shares in the Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker combine in October, 2011.

Secondly, the Sony Xperia S unarguably encountered possibly the strongest competition that any smartphone device can in the form of the three smartphones that are sweeping the sales charts all across the globe including the UK mobile phone marketplace.

These smartphone handsets are the Samsung Galaxy S3, Apple iPhone 4S and the HTC One X. Not to speak of lesser levels of threats that it had to contend with in the Motorola Max, LG Optimus 2X, Nokia Lumia 900, etc.

We are not at all referring to the fact that because of the continuing economic recession, and Sonys own downslide in recent months, things could not have been even otherwise any more difficult for Sony Xperia S in particular and Sony Mobile in general.

In the midst of all this, where one needs to appreciate Sony Mobile is that it not only did not show any signs of withdrawing from the fight, but also in its earnestness to not lower its ambition levels or for that matter energy levels.

This attitude and approach is without any iota of doubt, praiseworthy. A more recent instance of this never say die attitude held by Sony Mobile for the Sony Xperia S as well as some of its other smartphone handsets is the fact that it has updated the operating system in them to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version of the operating system.

The Sony Xperia S smartphone device has not only received positive reviews from those who matter but also held its own where it matters the most sales. The star smartphone product has surprised everyone one keeping a more than satisfactory climb on the sales graph.
