Sorry's not good enough' as McFLY'sDougie checks into rehab

Though some celebrities can capture our hearts and minds by falling in love with a fellow superstar, we ultimately all know that the romance may not be destined to last for a long time. This is simply demonstrated by the whirlwind Jord-Andre' romance which set the celebrity gossip sphere alightand then came crashing down after Katie Price divorced 90's teen sweetheart Peter Andre. It's an example that those in the public eye don't always have the longest relationships.

McFLY's DougiePoynter is the latest celebrity to pour his heart out to the public about his breakup with The Saturdays singer, Frankie Sandford. The couple swept each other away when they first met in 2009 but the romance was short lived after Frankie ended things in March 2010. A month later the couple reunited but that too was a short reunion after Sandford completely ended the relationship in November of that year.

Celebrity news sources reported earlier this month that McFLY's bassist had been spending time in rehab after being unable to cope with his split from the singer. In a recent interview, the teen heartthrob admitted that "I don't think I'm over it yet. Something like that could take years." Rumours later broke that Poynter had checked into the Priory to help him get over the split.

His bandmates had been reporting that Poynter had been ill over their Twitter accounts, but decided to Shine a Light' on the truth after Sunday papers celebrity news columnists broke the story. Frontman Tom Fletcher, tweeted "Obviously you're all reading rumours about Dougie. Please don't worry He's just been having a tough time lately and needed a few weeks rest so he's fighting fit and ready to slap that bass for you on tour."

Celebrity gossip bloggers joked that the writing was already on the wall for the pair since the band had sung Cause obviouslyShe's out of my leagueI'm wastin' my time'Cause she'll never be mine and I know i never will be good enough for her.' Evidently Frankie Sandford wasn't the Star Girl' that would treat the shy and reserved bassist's heart right.

Sorry's Not Good Enough' for Poynter, as he hasn't been able to say I'll Be Ok' after the breakup. But our thoughts go out to the bassist as he is part of one of the few bands in the UK that aren't forced into churning out manufactured pop songs, but do have the power to innovate how they best serve their fans, as seen in their recent refresh to their Website, dubbed the McFLY SuperCity'.
