Sound Proofing Life

There are several ways by which one can reduce noise

, one way is to increase the distance between the source and receptor. The other way is the use of sound barriers to reflect the sound waves by damp structures and anti noise sound generators.

There are two different wall soundproofing problems that one might counter and might have to take into note while designing acoustic treatment; the first would be to improve the sound within the room and the second would be to reduce the sound to/from adjacent rooms or outdoors. Damping and reducing technique can be used to restrict unwanted noise. Wall sound proofing can hold back sound waves that cause echoes. Wall sound proofing also reduces spreading of superfluous direct sound waves from the point of origin to involuntary listener through the use of distance and superseding objects in the way.

There are several different techniques used in the application of soundproofing and some of these can include:

Distance: the density of the sound waves tend to decrease as they widens out, so the more the distance between the source of the sound till the recipient the lesser to concentration of sound and similarly vice versa.

Damping: means to minimize the sound into the room. This can be achieved via absorption or redirection. Absorption will reduce the overall sound level from the room.

Absorption: Absorbing sound instinctively converts a part of the sound energy to a very small amount of heat in the intervening object the absorbing material, rather than sound being transmitted or reflected.

Reflection: In an outdoor environment such as highway engineering, embankments or paneling are often used to reflect sound upwards into the sky.

Diffusion: happens if sound hits a hard surface and scatters all over.

Noise cancellation: is a phenomenon where noise is reduced to the minimum with no disturbance or minimal disturbance.

Residential soundproof: aims to negate or eliminate the noise from outside. The major sit back for residential soundproofing is from windows and side panels. This is where the sounds enter in to rooms.

To do away with all the disturbances and noises soundproofing is the best option one can find. Floor soundproofing has also emerged as one of the major points through which one can reduce noise.
