There are different famous regional sports which are the most common and well played in South Asia. Social taboos and cultural affiliation provokes the millions of South Asians to take part in the most interesting and exciting regional games on the continent.

Like regional games, there are few international games which are affiliated with the general stake holders of sports in the region. Similarly, it is quite benefiting for the overall growth of a sport if it is played on massive level and the national teams and squads are prepared to take part in the international events and championships.
