Its architectural beauty and mesmerizing surroundings make it a popular attraction of South India. Its beautiful carvings speak volumes about the amazing craftsmanship of the bygone era. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.

Ramanatha Swamy Temple, Rameshwaram

It is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites of the Hindus. Located in a beautiful city of Rameshwaram, it is among the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. It attracts many a devotee throughout the year. It has the largest temple corridor in the country. It has more than 20 wells which are believed to possess medicinal properties. Decorated with mesmerizing carvings, it was built in the 12th century.

Kamakshi Amma Temple, Kanyakumari

Blessed with a perfect location on the confluence of Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy Amman (an incarnation of goddess Parvati). The main shrine houses a beautiful idol of the goddess. Its golden gopuram, intricate carvings, arresting mandaps, wonderful location and religious significance make it a famous attraction. The two wonderful attractions near it are Swami Vivekananda rock (where he attained enlightenment) and the rock with the footprints of the Goddess.
